Memories of the Summer of 2019

The precious summer of 2019 has ended and we are left with lovely memories that we made. What  gifts to hold onto. One of my missions in life is to preserve memories and to hold them dear. I take a camera with me often to try to capture moments in time because my memory has never been very sharp.

I am going to just post some pictures of our summer here ~ our first summer with the newest member of our family.

Going over to our favorite island and visiting some of our best friends was one of the happiest highlights of the summer.

One of those days where all cares and worries just slip away.

These two have been best friends since their beginning.

                                                                       An island Babe

So happy to see my friend living her best life.

These two are so sweet together :)

More dear friends who enrich our lives. I wish so often we could be neighbors.

These cuties who gave up their 'baby in the family' status to these other two cuties...and they love each other so much!

                                                             Someone turned five!

Tubing for the first time ever

                                                    Good friends with their babies

                                                                  Best Friends

                                                                The dance troupe

The cast of the play 'The Three Little Pigs'

Another friend who I have known since we were eight.

Look who is old enough to sit in great grandpa and grandma's old highchair!

A very very fun night at a little adventure park.

Daddy decided we needed an RV in our life and it sure has been fun!

These two look like two peas in a pod according to most people.

The current is strong and the sense of adventure so high

                                                                        Best buddies

                                                    Our miracle and precious blessing

There were lots of hard days in the summer, it was full of doctor's appointments and damage control for me. However there was much magic and so many happy days. I hope you had a lovely summer as well. xo

I am Awesome

Here we are in September?! I think this year is flying by more quickly than any year ever has. Having five children, all in such different stages of life, means that there is more going on in every minute that I could ever have imagined. Some days are really hard and intense but most days are centered around a lot of joy.

Our baby has added so much happiness to our family. I honestly have never had a baby that was actually healthy. All my babies have had severe acid reflux and colic and lip and tongue ties and the list goes on. This baby though, she is mostly just happy, she wants to be cuddled and talked to but she does not scream in pain. She smiles and coos and we are so blessed to have her. Right now she is in the most easy stage of life for me. She can nurse well, she is chubby, she has no teeth, she is not crawling, but she can roll and sit up, she is waving and smiling and says mama. It is beyond adorable.

Since it is September that means school has started and this year is my biggest yet. I have a little kindergartener. He is LOVING learning. I also have a grade four child, a grade seven child and a grade ten child. Each day is like a race to try to help everyone stay on track and get everything done. We are two weeks in though and things are starting to fall into place. It is pretty great.

I did not garden at all this year, I did not cook or bake, I have barely dressed in any clothes other than 'house clothes' and I have not left my house much.  However I have been doing a lot of really worthwhile, behind the scene things, constantly. Being a mom that stays at home every day is a challenge. Being a mom that stays at home and homeschools is even more challenging.

So I am awesome basically

And so are you :)

Have a great Autumn.
