Good Bye Frodo

Well two nights ago one of our sweet children let our Frodo out at 10:30 which was very much against the rules. The next morning she was gone. She had been left outside at night before accidentally. She would always be waiting for us the next morning meowing furiously to be let in. She was my son's special pet but really she loved the whole family (except our toddler) equally. She thought of herself as one of us and whenever we drove away we would see her watching out the window. If she was outside when we were getting in our van she would hop in ready to come. She was sweet and kind and curious and we are heartbroken that she has disappeared. It is tempting in these situations to wish she had just never come so that we could have avoided feeling this pain. One of my great hesitations in having a pet was that this nightmare would come true. In this case it has come so soon. We did not even get to own her for a year. However this is the greatest chance to learn about fully enjoying every moment we have with people and animals we love! We just don't know how long we have. We enjoyed our time with Frodo Aowyn dearly. There have been many tears the last few days and we hold onto hope that somehow she can make her way back to us. So that is what we will be dealing with this week.

  1. I'm so sorry she's gone, I know that heartbreak and it's so awful. I hope she comes back but if not - she was very loved 💕
