A Soul Filling Day

I think a lot about our souls. One time I bought a ceramic mug for someone and I wrote them a letter saying that I felt this mug represented their soul. It was covered in rich vibrant color entwined in beautiful ways. If you could envision your own soul what do you think it would look like? Do you see it in color?

Some people's souls I imagine look like open wounds, or in tatters, some black and almost dead. You can get a glimpse of people's souls through their eyes but only glimpses. The soul can hold many wounds and be hurt. The soul can also be a shining victorious banner flying high. I think it takes a lot of mindfulness and awareness to nurture and tend to our souls.

Today I met with a friend while my children were at the zoo with their dad. It helped me feel at peace knowing their souls were being filled with wonder and they were outside in beauty. I went and had the same experience. I came home feeling so tired and yet so full of peace. I brought my camera because I knew I would want to hold some moments close so here are the pictures for you to experience. My soul was filled and blessed by my day.

When I arrived at our destination my friend's sister was there! She had her new baby. She and her sister had set up to meet their friend's at the same coffee shop in the same town on the same day and time totally randomly! Sometimes our soul's are so connected aren't they. That is something else to remember ~ the connection of souls. It goes much deeper that can really be explained.

Here is my friend's sister's baby. He is so precious, so new, just learning so much about love and connection and life.

All the rest of the pictures are little beautiful moments or things that caught my eye.

All the rivers are so high everywhere right now. This boat was firmly anchored in the middle of it all.

You can't appreciate the full beauty of this fence because I didn't do it justice with my photo but it was amazing! The brick, the intricacy of the wrought iron! There was a lot of thought and love put into this fence.

One day the flowers will be thick on this archway standing strong between the two brick pillars.

                                                                     A wild Rose ~

A surprise! We climbed to the top and enjoyed the views.

My lovely friend ~ you are perfection! Look at you!!!

Mommas and best friends chatting. Seeing her nursing her little one brought back all the memories of that life and made me wonder if I will ever experience this again.

An enchanting place to sit and visit.

I really love baskets and this thrift store was chock full of them.

This stroller really just took the cake. Is it not so sleek, so beautiful, so modern??? I mean honestly! Just pure beauty in a stroller sort of way!!!

I hope you have a lovely weekend and that you can do something beautiful just for your soul. xo
