A Big Snow

And we moved!!! We are in our new home and it feels amazing. The last three weeks or so have been overflowing with tasks and cold wind and snow days and packing and unpacking and a lot of chocolate but we are here. The day we moved our town saw two feet of snow fall and for here that is not common. We had not hired movers but our church sent some amazing ones who helped us faithfully and who got us moved in record time. It was heart warming.

Before moving day the snow started and so on the day I was supposed to have my children sort of farmed out for the day so I could pack...a snow day throughout the land was declared and they were all home and not just home but tracking in snow everywhere. It was glorious for them and I took it in stride.

My last view of this. My husband put this window in my dining room for me when we moved to this house and I appreciated it every single day.

They are so excited honestly. They made maple candy and ran and screamed and had so much fun.

I watched the neighbor snow blow not just his driveway but the sidewalk and neighbors driveways. It was so kind.

Their last day in this back yard. I think they will miss it in some ways but where we are now is amazing.

This is our new front yard, then the street and then field.

This was the result the day after we moved. In town they were not allowed in the front yard as it was not safe. Here they have mostly played in the field and front yard. It is glorious.

This was the pile on my deck.

It was a winter wonderland and we loved every moment of it. Our house is warm and cozy, there is so much space to be free and already we feel so settled and at home.
