Little Lamb is She

I was visiting a church one day and I watched a girl dance down the aisle during worship followed by all sorts of little children dancing behind her. She had this smile on her face like I had never seen before. There was something about her that made me wish I was different, that I was free like her. Little did I know that one day she would become a dear friend, that she would be there standing with me at my wedding, with me after the births of my babies and listen to hours of pain and grief and happiness and GOOD. She has been a faithful, true, witness to many years of my life now and I am ever grateful.

It is her birthday and I was reflecting on her journey since I have known her and all the accomplishments she has. I went to her home on her birthday and she came out to visit me during the time I was packing (we dont live in the same town) and I took some pictures of her. I felt so thankful to see how much she knows who she is, what she holds precious to her heart, her values and her beliefs. She is a treasure and she feels that deep in her soul from her Creator. Sometimes that has been stripped away for a while but she can always find that safe place in the depths of her being and I admire that so deeply.

Here she is. My friend Rachelle and in the first few pictures are her with her daughter Rose at my house. Rose is a very prayed for and blessed gift.

There is something about this picture. You can see that there is a lot. Life is not always easy but life is beautiful.

On her birthday I drove through some snow to get to her house the day after Christmas. Through the years her expression of her heart through her decor has transformed so much and I find it breathtaking and really beautiful. I hope it inspires you ~ to express yourself fully in your space. It has power.

Isn't it so inspiring! There is so much color and detail and exquisite beauty in every corner. I love it!

Here are a couple more pictures of her and her family.

Happy Birthday Rachelle. Keep on keeping on. You have a beautiful soul that is always growing and fully alive. You got this!
