Island Times

This Summer, like last summer, my family and I went over to the island. I spent formative years here. When I am there I feel the most like myself. We stayed with family and friends and enjoyed life together. With everyone growing up, and our time together growing short, every minute of this matters to me more than ever!

A family dinner and family grace ~ not something not to be taken forgranted

My babies loving their baby cousin so sweetly

Cousins becoming friends is something I value so highly

                                                             My favorite beach of all:

I wanted to experience an ocean sunset and this was the one

                                                            Best Friends are treasures

I didn't actually take many photos this time. I just enjoyed every minute that I could. There were so many perfect happy moments. My highlights were my friend rescuing a lone duckling (it made me feel young again), visiting childhood friends, being cared for with such kindness, experiencing new things, living in the camper, and getting out of the town I live in. I don't love it and there were a lot of mosquitos and a relentless heat wave. Where we went felt like an oasis. I am so grateful for all of this! So grateful!
