My Favorite Coats

One day I was in the big city with two of my dear friends. We were gallivanting and it was the day I was introduced to one of my now favorite stores: Spank. In there I found this jacket. I have had it for at least seven years now. Previously the only coats I had ever owned were out of black bags. I remember that when I was twelve my aunty took me out and let me pick a coat and I had it forever! So this was the first grown up coat I had really picked.  My sister is modeling it for me.

I had another coat I wore for about eight years. It was in different shades of brown and a plaid print. If you know me at all you know what coat I am talking about because I wore it through every season day after day. I bought it at Bootlegger one day, again with two lovely friends. I fit me through pregnancies and in winters I could wear thick sweaters under it and I wore it till it was threadbare. Then on boxing day of last year I found this treasure. It is the perfect replacement and a collective sigh or relief was felt when I layed my other coat to rest. I am not quite the model my lovely sister is but you get the idea. I have a certain cut of coat I like and brown is my jam.

Then one day I was in the big city again with yet ANOTHER friend and we were thrifting. I feel like writing about clothing makes me sound like I am a faithful thrifter. Let's just say I WISH I was a faithful thrifter. I probably thrift about ten times a year and I love it but I just dont shop much unless I am getting food at Superstore. So this coat was just tucked in with all the other coats but it was perfect! I almost didn't buy it. I feel like we actually left the store and kept shopping and then my friend convinced me to go back. We did and I realized later it was the same brand name as the coat at the top of the page, Elle maybe? Anyway it is my winter one and the coat at the top of the page is my spring summer one.

Wow that is quite the expanse of grass! Oh well I had children everywhere as I was trying to take pictures. I also do not ever edit. I wish I had the means.
This little cutey pie was throwing dirt at me, trying to climb up on my stool and climbing on the trampoline. Anyway we got through :) It was fun.
