If you have never read the book 'Winnie The Poo' you are missing out on a great experience. My mother made sure to fill our lives with great literature as did our grandparents. This particular book impacted our family in a peculiar way and we are imparting that impact to future generations. This weekend was Mother's Day here in our fine country and is what my siblings and I did with our mother was go to the Blue Heron Reserve. When we arrived the first thing we did was walk over a wooden bridge and somone called out, Poo Sticks!!!! We all scattered looking for sticks! The newest addition to the family had no idea what we were going on about so we explained. When we were children and were at our grandparent's home we often went to a park close by. There was a bridge at the park and we were faithful to the Poo Stick game that we had read about in the book 'Winnie The Poo.' You play it by grabbing a stick that you will be able to recognize. You stand in a row on one side of the bridge and at the same time throw in your sticks. You want to throw them in on the side of the bridge where the current will draw the sticks under the bridge and out the other side. You then run to the other side and wait in anticipation to see who's stick will come out on the other side of the bridge first. As we were all hanging over the side of the bridge waiting a woman came up and asked, 'What is in the water! What are you all looking at?' We sheepishly told her, 'sticks.' It was too hard to explain and she went on her way. I have many fond memories of my grandparents. They enriched my life greatly. It is funny though the little things that you dont forget and that you sort of automatically do ~ like playing Poo Sticks when you are on a bridge. xo
And this is why this picture was made possible!!! I am not sure who won but our color coordination is pretty amazing I must say.
Well moms favorite color is blue so I guess it just makes sense 💕 And black is slimming and looks great on everyone ☺️👍
