I finally cut her hair. She is almost six. We had a moment last year where she crawled under her brother's bed with a bar of chocolate and a pair of scissors and gave herself a pretty impressive mullet. I wasn't home and her dad never noticed but when I GOT home and looked at her funny her face fell and then she shrugged her shoulders and gave me a look like....'get over it lady it is just hair!' I then gave it a good trim but I didn't really count it has her first hair cut because I didn't WANT to cut it but the patchy mullet needed something! So we trimmed it. Well this time we chopped it. It was impressive and it was quick and it was what she wanted. Here she is in all her glory and in case you are wondering, no she rarely wears a shirt and yes she wishes she was boy more often then she is glad she is a girl, and yes I love er! Her hair is this mix of curly and straight and it is blonde, brown and a bit of the strawberry blonde.
After the cut this was the result.
So no more curls and not much blonde and with her baby teeth starting to go she is officially growing up. After I cut her hair though she wanted me to paint her nails AND she put on a dress so I think even though she so badly wanted a boy hair cut she felt girly and pretty :) What a sweet heart!
