Have you read the famous Five Love Languages books out there? I have read one. When the book first came out it blew people's minds I think to some degree. It helped me understand certain people better that is for sure. I am not like a tack in a lot of areas...sharp...and so I just don't get things! Awareness though...wow...so amazing! And so many people don't have it! Yet if you did it would make life so much less of a mystery and so much more bearable! So with this love languages thing...I so appreciated learning about them because I could then understand my husband so much better and feel a lot less hurt about the fact that he did not comprehend my love languages all that much because we were total opposites.
The five love languages are as follows:
Quality time ~ so spending one on one quality time with another person.
Gifts ~ getting and giving thoughtful 'perfect' gifts
Physical Touch ~ snuggles, hugs, hand holding...just make you feel soooo loved
Acts of Service ~ You love to DO things for people and when someone goes out of their way to do something for you...no matter how tiny...your heart is warmed
Words of Affirmation ~ When people compliment you you feel on top of the world and those words stay with you for a long time
People can be a whole mix of these of course but usually there are one or two that stand out to them that make them feel loved the best. Often when someone has a 'mate' they have differing love languages. This is pretty important to understand. You might have someone that is constantly serving you but you don't even notice because all you want it some compliments once in a while! You might have someone who compliments you all the time but all you need is a hug! It can create some tension and hurt feelings.
When you have awareness of all of this; how great is it that you can purposely show love in a very intentional way? You know the secret to helping someone feel very loved in the way they feel it best.
Have a great day :)

This is my oldest. She took hours to decorate these cupcakes with the colors and characters of Paw Patrol for my little one turning two. He has never forgotten this day. She loves to do kind things for others....
That's so sweet ❤️
