Gifts Around My Home

I wanted to share some little touches from around the inside of my house. Little things that I have placed around me with purpose. To remind me of who I am, what I love, and that I am unique. May you be free to do the same. It is something that has come with time and that has changed over the years. Remember that you change and grow and that what you surround yourself with reflects that.

This cutting board was a gift from my sister. I don't use it as a cutting board. I have a little cactus on it usually or use it to serve on.

Plants have always ALWAYS died in my house previously. So far I have managed to keep this spider plant and little succulent alive. they were both gifts as was the art. I LOVE gifts and treasure them all!

When we moved to this house the previous owners lefts us books on birds as they have fed and nurtured birds in their yard for years. My children love these books and we have learned a lot about different types of birds since moving here. This side table was made by my grandfather years ago.

A chair from my great grandfathers house that I treasure and desperately try to guard against children and spills!

A bouquet picked by a friends sweet daughter and gifted to my daughter. As you can see my house is dusty all the time. The little tins are from my grandmother's house and the doily is made by my great grandmother.

I have come to love vintage tins. I found this one at a barn market.

A lamp from my grandma, pillow from Winners and the green chair from the previous owners. I treasure them all!

A macrame left for us by the previous owners that I cherish.

A globe from my grandparents house.

An umbrella stand from my great grandfather's house and a shell chandelier from the previous owners of the home.

Another gift! I am realizing that all these pictures of not of things I have purchased for myself but are gifts given to me.

I am thankful.
