Our New Kitten

   Growing up I felt such a connection to animals. I have a son who has followed in my footsteps. When he was tiny he was very timid and scared but when a goat jumped up in his face he smiled with such joy I just knew he was like me. He has not really had an opportunity to have a pet until now because he had too many struggles. I knew a pet would just add to his anxiety and to mine as well. However he is ten now and we live in a house that has enough room to house seven of us plus a semi indoor cat I suppose. He saved up money for months and planned colors, toys, games, the perfect name etc...how could I say no! So after a lot of calling around and searching we found our kitten. She has been named Frodo Aowyn after my son's favorite book series (The Lord of the Rings). She has proven to be mischievous, gentle, energetic and very snuggly. She is very loved.
