Times of Refreshing

  I turned the delicate age of thirty five a couple weeks ago already. During that time my friend reminded me that the year before on my birthday I had made a goal for my upcoming year of life. With where I am at right now mentally I almost scoffed at my turning thirty four year old self. How saintly I was making a 'goal.' The goal was to try to immerse myself even more into motherhood. Apparently words like these hold power. When you verbally speak a goal over your self you are making a proclamation to the world and in my case my sweet friend remembered and reminded me. Last year as I was thirty four I really DID immerse myself into motherhood more. Almost every other thing in my life slowly slipped away and at the end of the year I realized that other than blogging and going to ballet once a week I was mom, mommy, mama 24/7.
   This year I had decided I'd just try to keep that word 'surrender' close to me as I had decided to speak that over my life from the New Year onwards into 2017. However my heart has changed a little bit. I have decided that this year I WILL set a new goal for my thirty five year old self. This year it is going to be that I try to get outside and enjoy the outdoors more with my children. I will just do it! I will get everyone in proper outdoor gear, get everyone fed and hydrated, pack all necessary essentials and get out that door! I live in a place of abundant beauty. There are so many parks, trails, reserves places to go and be drawn into the beautiful sights and sounds. This week I have been dragging and feeling totally uninspired and oh so tired. HOWEVER I stuck to my guns and we got outside. As soon as I am there I feel renewed. So I will keep you posted as to how that goes. I'll keep it simple as always but I know it will rejuvenate our souls and keep us refreshed. We need times of refreshing. As usual because I can't help myself I will take pictures that are taken on a Nikon D7200 and post them when I get a chance. I don't know how to use my camera to its' full potential, have no editing program and have a very old computer so I am sorry that they are not crystal clear and that the lighting is not what it could be etc but you will get my point and see little windows into what we got to experience.
